North Liverpool Academy is proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our Year 8 rowing team at the recent Indoor Rowing Championships. The event highlighted not only athletic ability, but also the determination, teamwork and commitment of our students.
In the individual events, students achieved excellent results across both the boys’ and girls’ competitions. In the boys’ race, Ebrahem secured first place, followed by Max in second and Ryan in third. In the girls’ event, Mylie achieved a strong second-place finish, with Amelia taking third.
Teamwork was a key strength throughout the championships. In the eight-minute relay event, both the boys’ and girls’ teams achieved first place. The boys’ team covered an impressive distance of 2,230 metres, while the girls’ team completed 1,970 metres. These performances demonstrate the importance of collaboration, resilience and sustained effort.

We are also delighted to share that several students have been selected to represent Merseyside Youth Rowing at the 2026 National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships, taking place on Friday the 20th of March. Congratulations and best wishes to Max, Amelia, Ebrahem and Mylie as they prepare to compete at a national level.
These achievements are supported by the high-quality facilities available to our students. As part of the Northern Schools Trust, NLA benefits from access to specialist rowing machines, enabling students to train effectively and develop their technique within the school environment.
We are extremely proud of all students involved and look forward to celebrating their continued success.
